Everglade Cemetery is located at Hobbs, in Lea County.
Located 1.2 miles south of Main Street on New Mexico State Highway #18. Left on County road #61. The road ends at the cemetery, which is about half a mile from the highway. Everglade was the "colored" cemetery in the days of segregation. There appear to be many unmarked graves. Everglade is still occasionally used today, but most burials are in the city's two larger cemeteries.
